Nathaniel Rateliff is a folk music singer and songwriter from Hermann, Missouri. His popular band that records souls and R&B music, Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats, was formed in 2013. Nathaniel Rateliff learned to play the drums at the age of seven. As a young teenager, Nathaniel Rateliff taught himself guitar and began writing his own songs. As Nathaniel Rateliff and the Wheel, he released the album Desire and Dissolving Men on Public Service Records in 2007. Nathaniel Rateliff then released In Memory of Loss by himself in the USA on Rounder Records in 2010, and then in the UK on Decca in 2011. Nathaniel Rateliff’s 2011 album was made with producer Brian Deck from Iron & Wine and was listed by as the number one album you might have missed in 2010.

Without publicly announcing it, Nathaniel Rateliff released his second solo studio album, Falling Faster Than You Can Run, in 2013 on Mod y Vi Records. Following the release of the album, Nathaniel Rateliff went on tour with The Lumineers and Dr. Dog. In 2015, Nathaniel Rateliff released a self-titled album, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats through Stax Records, which included the song "S.O.B.". Nathaniel Rateliff has since been touring with the Night Sweats, which is made up of Joseph Pope on bass, Mark Shusterman on keys, Patrick Meese on drums, Luke Mossman on guitar, Wesley Watkins playing the trumpet, and Andy Wild playing saxophone for the band. In 2016, Nathaniel Rateliff joined the band The Night Sweats on an international tour in support of their 2015 self-titled album. Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats performed at numerous theatres, arenas and music festivals all over the world during their 2016 tour, including FarmAid in Bristow, Virginia, Music Midtown in Atlanta, Georgia, Rootsn Blues BBQ Festival in Columbia, Montana, Austin City Limits Festival in Austin, Texas, Live Music Hall in Berlin, Germany, Rolling Stone Weekender in Lubeck, Gemrany, Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow, United Kingdom, and many more. Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats performed a variety of songs on their 2016 tour, including those written by Nathaniel Rateliff and those produced with the band, such as “Lock It Here”, “S.O.B.”, “Don’t Get Too Close”, and many more.
