New Kids on the Block, also referred to as NKOTB, is an all American boy band originating from Boston, Massachusetts. The most popular "boy band" from the 1990's is back on-tour in 2023 and wowing crowds across the country. The New Kids are performing as part of the Mixtape Tour which includes other popular 90's bands like Salt N Pepa, En Vogue, Rick Astley and many more. The band also tours with the Backstreet Boys, and continues to remain among the most popular Pop acts fans can go see live. The fans of New Kids on the Block may be grown up now, but they still show up in huge numbers to support their favorite band from back in the days.
NKOTB was originally called Nynuk, and consists of 5 members. They are the Knight brothers, Jonathan and Jordan, Joey Mclntyre, Danny Wood, and Donnie Wahlberg. The band was formed in 1984 and received great response from the get-go. The boy from the mid 80’s till the early 90’s enjoyed a lot of success. They sold over 80 million copies in that time alone. This achievement got the NKOTB the title of being the ‘World’s Best-Selling Groups of all Time’. KNOTB even won two American Music Awards for favorite rock/pop band in 1990 and favorite pop/rock album. Although the band seemed to be enjoying every minute of fame and glory, the band disbanded in 1994. In 2007, they made a comeback after being reunited. They even recorded a new album during a tour in 2008. New Kids on the Block have recently been listed as number 16 on the Rolling Stone’s Top 25 Teen Idol Breakout Moments.
