Austin Richard Post - AKA Post Malone - is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer and guitarist from Syracuse, New York, who became famous in February 2015 after the release of his debut single "White Iverson". In August 2015, Malone signed with Republic Records and the next year, released his debut album "Stoney."

The singer began to play the guitar while playing the popular video game Guitar Hero and auditioned for the band Crown the Empire in 2010, but was rejected. He was always passionate about music and began learning how to produce music through FL Studio while working on his first mixtape. He enrolled in Syracuse University but left after a few months. Soon after, he moved to Los Angeles with his friend, where he created his stage name, recorded hit song "White Iverson” two days after he wrote it, and uploaded it to his SoundCloud account. The song has over 390 million views since its release. After the initial hype of his first hit, Post Malone has several other popular singles such as "Too Young", "What's Up", "Patient" and "Tear$".
