John was born in Springfield, Ohio as John Rogers Stephens and is a gifted R&B/Soul artist with nine Grammys, an acting career, and is currently a judge on ABC’s Duets. In September 2013 Legend married supermodel Chrissy Teigen in Italy. His career in music started while he attended college at the University of Pennsylvania. In 2011, Legend completed a 50-date tour as a guest for British soul band Sade. The tour started in Baltimore and hit venues such as Nassau Coliseum, TD Garden, Toyota Center and finished at the MGM Grand Arena. Legend began his segment with a gospel-tinged rendition of “Rolling in the Deep,” he made a smooth transition into “Hard Times” from 2010's Wake Up! He worked his magic with his ballads that showcased his powerful voice. The sharply dressed, smooth-singing R&B singer got the attention of his audience and promptly gained more fans.
The 2013 Fall Tour
This 19-city tour will begin in Mashantucket, CT on October 20. Important stops include Boston on October 22, and Washington DC at the DAR Constitution Hall October 23rd. The Jackie Gleason Theater in Miami FL hosts Legend on November 3rd and after a few stops he will be in Austin to perform at the Bass Concert Hall November 6th. The tour will close November 24th in Vancouver BC with the same reverence it started with and you can also expect plenty of singing from the audience.
