Stevie Wonder is a world famous singer, songwriter, record producers, and multi-instrumentalist. Stevie Wonder was recognized as a child prodigy at a very young age. Stevie Wonder made headline when he signed to Motown’s Tamla Records at age 11. Stevie Wonder is perfhaps most famous for his hit single, “Superstition”, “Sir Duke”, “You Are the Sunshine of My Life”, “I Just Called to Say I Love You” and his best selling albums, Talking Book, Innervisions, and Songs in the Key of Life. Stevie Wonder is also the most awarded solo musician alive and has sold over 100 million albums and singles. Stevie Wonder is the only musician to be awarded the United States Messenger of Peace award. The earliest instruments Stevie Wonder played include piano, harmonica, and drums. His earliest song was titled “Lonely Boy”, written in 1961. That song got him a record deal at Motown. Stevie Wonder performed his first live tour when he was just 11 years old. He also put out two albums in same year: one was a cover of Ray Charles songs, Tribute to Uncle Ray and the other was composed of instrumental songs he wrote himself, The Jazz Soul of Little Stevie. Some of Stevie Wonder’s earliest singles were “Mother Thank You”, “I Call it Pretty Music, But Old People Call it the Blues”, and “Little Water Boy”, all released in 1962. Wonder put out a live recording following his next tour, Recorded Live: The 12 Year Old Genius, from which a single titled “Fingertips” became a major hit, reaching the number one sport in Billboard’s Hot 100. In 1964, Little Stevie Wonder appeared in two films, Muscle Beach Party and Bikini Beach, featuring his music.

Stevie Wonder went on to produce many number one and Hot 100 hit singles through the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s which won many awards, including “Tears of a Clown”, Blowin’ in the Wind”, a Bob Dylan cover, “I Was Made to Love Her”, “For Once in My Life”, “Signed, Seal, Delivered, I’m Yours”, “My Cherie Amour”, “You Are the Sunshine of My Life”, “Superstition”, “Higher Ground”, You Haven’t Done Nothin’”, “Boogie on Reggae Woman”, and many, many more. Stevie Wonder produced a number of hit albums in his music career, including Up-Tight, Down to Earth, I Was Made to Love Her, For Once in My Life, My Cherie Amour, Signed, Sealed & Delivered, Where I’m From, Music of My Mind, Innervisions, Fulfilingness’ First Finale, Songs in the Key of Life, Hotter than July, The Woman in Red, In Square Circles, Characters, Jungle Fever, Conversion Peace, and A Time to Love.
