The Rascal Flatts formed in 1999 in Columbus, Ohio. The band comprises of three members, namely, Gary LeVox lends his voice for the lead vocals. The other two members are his second cousins Jay DeMarcus who apart from operating the bass guitar, also plays the keyboards and lends his voice for background vocals. The other member of the group is Joe Don Rooney, who apart from playing the electric guitar also lends his voice for background vocals. DeMarcus is also known as the brother-in-law of the country singer James Otto and was one of the two members of the Christian music duo known as “East to West”. The Flatts recorded with Disney Music Group’s Lyric Street Records from the year 2000 to the year 2010. While they were on the label, they released a total of seven albums altogether. All of these albums were able to receive a minimum of platinum certification with many of them have a higher rating. The first of these albums was “Rascal Flatts” which came out in the year 2000. The second album to be released by this band was “Melt” and that came out in 2002. The next album was released in 2004 and was titled “Feels Like Today”. “Me and My Gang” was the fourth album of the group and it was released in 2006. The following album in the series came out after an interval of one year, in 2007, and it was titled as “Still Feels Good”. The next two came out with a year’s interval to each other with “Greatest Hits Volume 1” coming out in 2008 and “Unstoppable” being released in 2009.
The year 2010 proved to be the closing year for Lyric Street, as a result, Rascal Flatts moved to Big Machine Records. During their stay with this record company, they managed to release a total of three albums namely “Nothing Like This” which came out in 2010. This was followed by “Changed” coming out in 2012 and the third album to come out was “Rewind” which was released in 2014. These studio albums produced a total of 25 singles. Out of these, 12 were able to make their way to the number one spot on the Billboards Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay. Rascal Flatts Rhythm and Roots Tour 2016
Rascal Flatts will be spending the 2016 summer on their Rhythm and Roots Tour. Rascal Flatts Riot Tour 2015
It seems that the hype and anticipation around the Rascal Flatts just continues to grow. Following a very successful 2014 tour, the Rascall Flatts announced their latest tour, the Riot Tour 2015. The tour kicked off on May 29th in St. Louis and continues to many top North American locations, including, Dallas, Boston, Detroit, Chicago, Phoenix, and more. The Rascal Flatts will be accompanied on the Riot Tour 2015 by special guest Scotty McCreery. The Riot Tour might be the largest tour yet for the Rascal Flats and is one of the most exciting tour's of 2015.
In support of their eighth studio album Changed, the band toured through the U.S. and Australia from October 2012 to March 2013, 2013. It began in Tampa Bay at the Live Nation Amphitheater and ended in Hunter Valley, Australia. The show featured The Band Perry as the opener, with other featured artist such as Little Big Town, Eli Young and Edens Edge; it contained videos, harmonies and humor. Songs heard were their number one hit, “Banjo,” and other hits from the album that have reached the top of the charts, “Come Wake Me Up” and “Changed.”
“Rascal Flatts Live and Loud 2013” Tour
It began soon after their last tour and the band is co-headlining with Journey for part of the tour, and again featuring The Band Perry and Cassadee Pope. It begins October 10 in Tuscaloosa, AL and ends October 26 in Bloomington, IN. The show will feature songs from the long list of hits, which will include “These Days,” “Mayberry” and “What Hurts The Moist.” A montage of inventive videos, humor and harmonies make up a part of the concert, as well as audience sing-alongs.
Top spots featured for the last leg of the tour will be The Ford Center in Evansville, IN., Foothills Fest in Maryville, TN. and Sioux Falls Arena in Sioux Falls SD. You can expect audience requests on many songs, as well as covers, drum solos, harmonies and autographs to keep the crowd entertained.
