The Rascal Flatts formed in 1999 in Columbus, Ohio. The band comprises of three members, namely, Gary LeVox lends his voice for the lead vocals. The other two members are his second cousins Jay DeMarcus who apart from operating the bass guitar, also plays the keyboards and lends his voice for background vocals. The other member of the group is Joe Don Rooney, who apart from playing the electric guitar also lends his voice for background vocals. DeMarcus is also known as the brother-in-law of the country singer James Otto and was one of the two members of the Christian music duo known as “East to West”. The Flatts recorded with Disney Music Group’s Lyric Street Records from the year 2000 to the year 2010. While they were on the label, they released a total of seven albums altogether. All of these albums were able to receive a minimum of platinum certification with many of them have a higher rating. The first of these albums was “Rascal Flatts” which came out in the year 2000. The second album to be released by this band was “Melt” and that came out in 2002. The next album was released in 2004 and was titled “Feels Like Today”. “Me and My Gang” was the fourth album of the group and it was released in 2006. The following album in the series came out after an interval of one year, in 2007, and it was titled as “Still Feels Good”. The next two came out with a year’s interval to each other with “Greatest Hits Volume 1” coming out in 2008 and “Unstoppable” being released in 2009.

The year 2010 proved to be the closing year for Lyric Street, as a result, Rascal Flatts moved to Big Machine Records. During their stay with this record company, they managed to release a total of three albums namely “Nothing Like This” which came out in 2010. This was followed by “Changed” coming out in 2012 and the third album to come out was “Rewind” which was released in 2014. These studio albums produced a total of 25 singles. Out of these, 12 were able to make their way to the number one spot on the Billboards Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay.
