Ringo Starr Tickets

Famously known as Ringo Star, he was originally Richard Starkey is an English musician and actor was born on July 7, 1940. Ringo Starr’s fame started when he was introduced as the drummer for the one and only, The Beatles. He has also contributed towards the band in many other ways. Starr sang lead vocals for, ‘With a Little Help from My Friends’, ‘Act Naturally’, and ‘Yellow Submarine’. Ringo Starr has written songs for them as well, including ‘Flying’, ‘What Goes On’, ‘Octopus’s Garden’, and ‘Don’t Pass Me By’. His career took off after he cofounded his first band in 1957, the Eddie Clayton Skiffle Group. The group earned many local bookings before they made their way into American Rock and Roll in 1958. Two years after The Beatles were formed in 1960, Starr joined them in 1962 after he left Roy Storm and the Hurricanes. After the band disbanded in 1970, he started his solo career by releasing singles. His songs made their way to the US number four hit and number one hit.

In 1972, Ringo Starr produced another single, which became his most popular, ‘Back Off Boogaloo’. Ringo Starr has been featured in many documentaries, movies, and has appeared as a television host as well. Rolling Stone gave him the title of the fifth greatest drummer of all time in 2011. He has been inducted in the Hall of Fame as a part of The Beatles in 1988, and as a solo artist in April 2015. This made him one of the 21 performers who have had the opportunity to be inducted more than once. In 2015, he released his 11th studio album, Postcards from Paradise.
