Robert Plant, the former lead singer of the heavy metal band Led Zeppelin, is an English singer and lyricist. His career has extended beyond the disbanding of Led Zeppelin in 1980 into a successful solo career. Plant has influenced singers such as Axle Rose of Guns and Roses and Freddie Mercury of Queen. He has also been voted as the “Greatest Metal Vocalist of All Time” and “the greatest voice in rock” by various magazines. He is still recording, and Robert Plant tickets remain in high demand for his upcoming shows.

Robert Plant was born on August 20, 1948 in West Bromwich, Staffordshire. He left home at 16, and started his musical education by moving from group to group. His early influences included blues greats Willie Dixon and Robert Johnson. He sang on three singles for CBS records, and sang for a few different bands, including the group Band of Joy with drummer John Bonham.

Plant’s solo career started, after a brief attempt at becoming a teacher, with the help of Phil Collins in 1982. He had numerous albums and singles during this time, also having successful, sold out, tours in 1983 and 1985. Initially he refused to sing Led Zeppelin songs, but was convinced by Phil Johnstone to play some songs at his live shows. Plant and Page have collaborated over the years, including spending time in the studio recording original material. Robert plant has fronted various groups since then, including the Sensational Space Shifters. Score with TicketCity - the place to go for Robert Plant Tickets.
