Cherilyn Sarkisian, known to some as one-half of the folk singing group Sonny and Cher of the 60’s and 70’s, is known to the rest of the world as simply Cher. She is an American singer, songwriter, award-winning actress, and fashionista who has taken to the concert stage for her seventh tour “Dressed To Kill.” She has 37 albums, which includes those produced with her first husband Sonny Bono. She has two children, Chaz Bono, born Chastity Bono, and Elijah Blue Allman, from her second husband Greg Allman from The Allman Brothers Band.
Cher has changed her style of music many times over the years, always reinventing herself and music standards. She has a catalog of hits including, “I’ve Got You Babe,” “Gypsies, Tamps and Thieves,” “Believe” and “Love One Another.” Coming out of her Las Vegas concert series, she hits the road March 2014.
“Living Proof: The Farewell Tour”
Billed as her farewell tour, in 2002 Cher hit the road on a 59-city tour that included video montages of her life and singing career, aerial acts, dancers, and elaborate costume changes from long time friend and designer Bob Mackie. Hit songs heard were “Bang, Bang My Baby Shot Me Down,” “The Shoop Shoop Song (its In His Kiss)” and “If I could Turn Back Time.” Venues included the Staples Center in LA, Madison Square Garden in NY and the Hollywood Bowl, in Hollywood, CA.

She’s back! Cher is returning to concert arenas around the globe supporting her new album in over 10 years, Closer To The Truth. This epic event starts in Pheonix, AZ on March 22 and ends in San Diego, CA at the Valley View Casino Center on July 11. You can expect her signature and elaborate costumes from designer Bob Mackie, dancers, videos, voice synthesizers and jokes. Cher is expected to sing her classics, “Believe,” “If I Could Turn Back Time” and “Half-Breed.” As well as songs from her new album, “Woman’s World” and “Take It Like A Man.”
Top venues will include stops in Houston Texas on March 24 at the Toyota Center and Dallas at the American Airlines Center on March 26. As she makes her way east, she will stop in Nashville and perform at the Bridgestone Arena. From there the tour will go north to Boston and TD Garden, Centre Bell in Montreal, and Barclays in Brooklyn. She will along the way make a stop in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand, before finishing up in California.
