While he is largely known for his breakout 1991 hit "Wicked Game," and the sultry music video that accompanied it, Chris Isaak has been providing music listeners with a long string of albums for more than 25 years, and is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

Isaak got his start in relative obscurity when he released his first album, Silvertone, in 1985. Although the effort was generally well received by critics at the time of its release, it was not very popular among the general public. However, the lack of response would be short lived, as one of the singles from the album,"Gone Ridin'," was featured in the 1986 film Blue Velvet. Silvertrone received further publicity later that year when another track, "Dancin'," was featured in the movie Modern Girls. Isaask's second, self-titled album, was not quite as successful in terms of critical response as his previous album, but his third - Heart Shaped World, - featured the hit that would launch him into super-stardom.

Heart Shaped World was released in 1989 to minimal fanfare, but after the first single from that album,"Wicked Game," was featured in the 1991 movie Wild at Heart, Isaak's popularity soared. The exposure from the movie prompted music fans to buy more than 500,000 copies of the album, and it reached the number seven spot on Billboard's pop album chart. Due to it's success he quickly became one of the most popular live shows of the time.

In addition to a growing music career, Isaak began to dabble in acting as well. Although he has largely earned cameo roles in motion pictures, he did have a small part in the Academy Award-winning Silence of the Lambs in 1991. He has also appeared in the popular movie That Thing You Do, and also appeared on a 1996 episode of Friends. In 2001, he launched his own show - The Chris Isaak Show - which ran for three years.

Isaak has been releasing albums throughout much of the 1990s and into the 2000s. His most recent studio release, 2009s Mr Lucky, received generally favorable reviews from critics and was a significant success overseas. In 2010, he released a live album, Live at the Filmore, which was taken from a performance in 2008. Chris Isaak is almost 20 years removed from his biggest hit, but a loyal following and an energetic stage presence still make him a must-see live show.
