Cold War Kids are an indie rock band from Long Beach, California that include the members Nathan Willett on vox, piano, keyboards and precussion, Dann Gallucci playing guitar, precussion, and keyboards, Matt Maust on bass guitar, Joe Plummer on drums, and Matthew Schwartz on keyboard, piano, guitar, precussion and vox. Cold War Kids are known for their talented multi-instrumentalist performers and high energy music style, which often incorporates a blend of many difgferent musical styles. The band was formed in 2004 in Fullerton, California, and released their first EP with Monarchy Music, titled Mulberry Street. The band’s debut studio album Robbers & Cowards in 2006. Between toruing in support of their new releases, the band also put out two more Eps, titled With Our Wallets Full and Up in Rags, which were later released as a compilation in 2006. Cold War Kids soon signed to Downtown Records and relocated to Long Beach, California for their following album released. In 2008, Cold War Kids released Loyalty to Loyalty and in 2011 and album titled Mine is Yours.
Cold War Kid’s fourth studio release was titled Dear Miss Lonelyhearts in 2013 and their 2014 album was titled Hold My Home. The band has toured with Death Cab for Cutie in 2008 to 2009 and released the EP Behave Yourself shortly after. Cold War Kids also performed at Bonaroo and Coachella Velley Music and Arts Festival in 2011 as well as a US tour, performing in in venues of all sizes. Cold War Kids Tour – 2015
In 2015, Cold War Kids performed at music festivals, theaters and House of Blues sized venues throughout the US. They performed at Summer Ends music festival and Junior Seau Ampitheater as well as casinos all of the US. The band’s 2015 performances involved a lot of their recent body of work, including songs like “All This Could Be Yours” from their album Hold My Home released in 2014, but they also performed fan favorite classic songs, such as “Hang Me Up to Dry” and “We Used To Vacation”. Cold War Kids live performances are known for their indie rock singing and dedicated fan base.
