Neil Young is a Canadian born singer-songwriter who is known for his focus political and humanitarian issues. Young was born in 1945 and has been a member of multiple iconic bands. Neil Young cut his chops with the band Buffalo Springfield, where he was one of the band founding members. He joined Crosby, Stills, & Nash a few years later, forming the short lived Crosby, Still, Nash, and Young. But Neil Young is most known for his work as a solo artist. In 1970, Neil Young released his third solo album titled “After the Gold Rush,” which became his first major commercial success. The album featured top tracks like “Southern Man,” “Only Love Can Break Your Heart,” and “After the Gold Rush.” After the Gold Rush pushed Neil Young into major worldwide fame, and led to some of the most exciting tours our his career. Neil Young would go on to release over 40 albums, including major successes in “Rust Never Sleeps,” “Harvest,” “Everybody’s Rocking,” and “Harvest Moon.” Young has been named one of the greatest guitarists of all time, and his concerts are known for being high energy. In 1985, Neil Young collaborated with artists like Willie Nelson to found Farm Aid, which has help fund local farmers for over 3 decades. Neil Young & Promise of the Real Rebel Content Tour
In the summer of 2015 Neil Young and LA rock band Promise of the Real released a joint record titled "The Monsanto Years." The album is very politically charged and is targeted at many of Neil Young's most die hard activist, fans. The colaberation marks one of the most anticipated in Neil Young's long career. In support of the album Neil Young and Promise of the Real embarked on the Rebel Content Tour. The tour will feature the two rock icons performing together accross North America. For much of the Rebel Content Tour, Young will be joined by special guest Band Of Horses. Neil Young's Rebel Content Tour tickets have been some of the best sellers of 2015 and the tour is expected to run through early 2016.
