The Montreal-based punk band Simple Plan was a rousing success throughout the 2000s and has still maintained to capture its fresh sound after all these years. The band consists of a group of high school buddies including Pierre Bouvier on vocals, Chuck Comeau on drums, David Desrosiers on bass and Sebastien Lefebvre on guitar. Originally, Comeau and Bouvier went off and formed their own band called Reset during their high school days, but after the band split up in 1999, the old pals got back together and formed Simple Plan. After touring the Vans Warped Tour and other prominent music festivals, the group went into the studio to record their first album in 2002.

Simple Plan's first record, No Pads, No Helmets...Just Balls, peaked at No. 35 and instantly turned them into pop rock darlings on the American music scene. The band's first single, "Addicted" would reach No. 45 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, but it would be the group's second single that would receive serious airtime. "Perfect" would be one of Simple Plan's biggest hits and would help them bridge the rock-pop divide by peaking at No. 24 on the Hot 100 songs chart and earning them legions of new fans.

The band's second album, Still Not Getting Any..., featured the singles "Welcome to My Life," "Shut Up!", "Untitled (How Could This Happen to Me?)" and "Crazy." While the band wasn't aiming for a pop punk record with their first album, their second record showcased their development as musicians by sticking with the same subject matter of their first record by bringing in a few more traditional mainstream rock elements to refine their sound. After taking some time off, Simple Plan dropped their self-titled third record in 2008. The record peaked at No. 14 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, and featured the successful single, "When I'm Gone."

In 2011, Simple Plan came roaring back with their fourth studio album, Get Your Heart On!, featuring the new single, "Jet Lag." The band has toured extensively to promote the record and also used a variety of social media promotions to pre-release a variety of tracks. The album featured collaborations with a variety of artists including Natasha Bedingfield, Rivers Cuomo, Marie-Mai and many more. While Simple Plan has shown remarkable growth in their sound and as musicians, it's their tried and true pop punk formula is what keeps fans coming back and new ones from catching on.
