SZA (her real name is Solána Imani Rowe) is an American R&B singer-songwriter from New Jersey. Raspy-voiced singer-songwriter was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1990. She is best known for her first two EP's - "S" and "Z." Moreover, her looks and sense of style have landed her interviews with fashion magazines like Vogue. SZA has a pretty unusual stage name, taken from the Supreme Alphabet, where "Z" and "A" stand for "Zig-Zag" and "Allah," respectively.

Alternative R&B artist Solana Rowe grew up listening to classic and avant-garde jazz music. During 2012 and 2013, she released her first two EPs that made her a popular singer in the US. Her dreamy, alluring songs are big hits online while her unforgettable live shows gather thousands of people. She is also will known for her quality music videos. A fantasy-like video for the S EP's "Ice Moon" was released in November 2013, and additional exposure came shortly thereafter through "His & Her Friend," by her labelmate ScHoolboy Q’s Oxymoron.

Solana is signed to Top Dawg, home to the singers like Kendrick Lamar and the likes. Her biggest hit is the digital-only Z, a trippy hypnotizing ten-track set that features Lamar, Chance the Rapper, and other famous rappers. Released in April 2014, this EP entered the Billboard 200 at number 39. Signed to major-label RCA, Rowe released the less inhibited Ctrl in 2017.
