Thomas Rhett is an America country music singer and songwriter. Thomas Rhett’s father, Rhett Akins, was also a well-known country singer and songwriter. Thomas Rhett signed with Big Machine Label Group, where he wrote songs for other artists like Jason Aldean’s “I Ain’t Ready to Quit”. Then in 2012 he released his debut single “Soemthing to do with My Hand” and later that same year, “Beer with Jesus”. Both songs made the top 30 on the Hot Country Songs charts. Thomas Rhett’s third single titled “It Goes Like This” went straight to the number two position on the country song charts and ended up being the lead single from his debut album, It Goes Like This.

Thomas Rhett’s first album contained many hit songs, such as “Get Me Some of That”, which became Rhett's second number 1 single in early 2014. Another successful single from that album, "Make Me Wanna", was released to country radio later in 2014 and reached number one on the Country Airplay chart the following year. Although his first album was successful, Thomas Rhett continued to write music for other artists, including “1994” by Jason Aldean, “Parking Lot Party by Lee Brice, and “Round Here” by Florida Georgia Line.

Thomas Rhett’s second studio album, Tangled Up, came out in 2015 and debuted at the number one position on the country radio chart. Thomas Rhett’s most popular singles from his second album were “Crash and Burn”, “Die a Happy Man”, and “T-Shirt”. Thomas Rhett has received many awards and nominations during his music career. He won the Most Performed Songs Award for “Make Me Wanna” from the ASCAP Country Music Awards and the Top 50 Songs Award for “Make Me Wanna” from the BMI Country Awards. He was also nominated for New Artist of the Year in from the American Country Awards, Country Music Association Awards, and the Academy of Country Music Awards.
