ZZ Ward, American singer and songwriter, released her debut EP titled Criminal in 2012, followed by her full length album, Til the Casket Drops, later that same year. ZZ Ward is best known for her hit single, “Put the Gun Down”, her first single to break the Top 10 on the AAA radio charts in 2013. Her debut album included tracks with Kendrick Lamar, Ryan Tedder, Pete Rock, Ali Shaheed Muhammad, Theron “Neff-U” Feemster, and many more guest appearances. She released Eleven Roses, a free mixtape featuring artists such as Childish Gambino, Tyler the Creator, and Kendrick Lamar, in 2012. ZZ Ward’s 2012 EP, Criminal, features samples from Freddie Gibbs. She was known at 2013’s South by Southwest Festival as one of the 30 must-see artists. ZZ Ward’s second single, “365 Days”, was first debuted on Good Morning America in 2013. ZZ Ward has performed at Coachella Vallert Art and Music Festival, Bonaroo Music Festival, and performed on tour with Eric Clapton in 2014. In 2015, ZZ Ward released an album titled This Means War, which included the singles “Love 3x” and “Lonely”. She began touring in support of the new record during the summer and fall of 2015. ZZ Ward This Means War Tour
ZZ Ward performed at a variety of music festivals and shows in venues all across the US during summer and fall of 2015 in support of her new album, This Means War. Her performances included her classic hit singles such as “Criminal”, “Til the Casket Drops”, “Put the Gun Down” and “Move Like You Stole It”. ZZ Ward also performed “Everybody Wants to be Famous” and her cover of “Grinin in Your Face” at select shows in addition to many songs from her 2015 album, This Means War. ZZ Ward is known for her high energy singing style and getting the audience going during her live performances.
