Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway
The Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway is the The Great American Race” beloved by the fans who attend. The track is a tri oval with reserved seats heavily situated in the stands between Turn 4 and Turn 1. That vantage point offers views of the front stretch, start/finish line and pit road. The capacity at Daytona International Speedway is 168,000 fans.
The section numbers on the front stretch sections range from Section 108 (near Turn 4) to Section 184 (heading into Turn 1) on the lowest level. The next level above those includes Sections 308 to 395. The top level, and most expansive view, are the Sections 408 to 495. At Nascar races many fans prefer to sit in the higher rows to have a better overview of the track.
For those fans who do prefer to sit down in the lower grandstands close to the track, then we recommend that you wear earplugs, glasses and tie back long hair. It is an exhilarating feeling to experience the rumble of these cars as they move past you during the race, but they will kick up some turbulence in the air.
