The Detroit Pistons have called the Palace of Auburn Hills their home since 1988, and it is one of the few remaining arenas in the NBA that has not sold its naming rights. The venue hosted three Pistons championships in 1989, 1990 and 2004, and it is the preferred concert venue in the city of Detroit. With a capacity of more than 22,000, the Palace at Auburn Hills is one of the largest arenas in the NBA and can accommodate everything from large conventions to wrestling events. In honor of Detroit's Motown past, a live jazz band plays during basketball games above the upper level to give large-scale events a unique touch.

The Palace of Auburn Hills was the backdrop for three of the biggest moments in Detroit Pistons' history. The Pistons won back-to-back NBA titles in 1989 and 1990 with some of the biggest names ever to grace an NBA court. Isaiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, Dennis Rodman, Adrian Dantley and many others had a hand in the title run.

The Pistons would have high expectations when they signed Hall of Fame coach Larry Brown, and they fulfilled them in 2004 with the team's third championship. A mixture of aged veterans and young talent including Chauncey Billups, Tayshaun Prince, Richard Hamilton, Ben Wallace and Rasheed Wallace established a new brand of team basketball that allowed them to triumph over the heavily-favored Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals.

The Palace at Auburn Hills has brought new meaning to the phrase "Detroit Rock City," as many of the most respected rock bands have taken the stage at the arena. Acts such as David Bowie's A Reality Tour, Aerosmith's Rocksimus Maximus Tour and The Rolling Stones' No Security Tour have enthralled Detroit audiences, but the venue is also known for hosting a wide range of pop acts like Keith Urban, Taylor Swift and No Doubt. The Palace's huge size and impressive acoustics make it a natural choice for a large-scale concert, and has helped Detroit maintain its reputation as a storied music city.

Between the action on the court and the performances on stage, the Palace at Auburn Hills has become a natural fit to accommodate all of today's biggest musical acts and has an engaging atmosphere that creates a true home court advantage for the Detroit Pistons.
