Gennady Golovkin Tickets Information

Gennady Gennadyevich Golovkin, also known as Triple-G, is a Kazakhstani boxer from Karaganda in the Kazakh SSR, Soviet Union (now Karagandy, Kazakhstan). Golovkin started boxing at the age of 10 and had an amateur record of 345-5, which includes a silver medal in the 2004 Olympic Games and gold medals in the 2000 Junior World Championship, 2002 Asian Games and 2003 World Championships.

As a professional boxer, Golovkin currently has a record of 37 wins, zero losses and one draw. He currently holds four consecutive defenses for his championship reign, which is the longest active streak. Golovkin is known as a pressure fighter that uses strategic movement in the ring with his powerful punches and balance to try to knock out his opponents, leading to a record 17 title defenses by knock out. He also owns the highest knockout-to-win percentage (currently 89.8%). Some of his big fights include wins against David Lemieux, Kell Brook and Daniel Jacobs. Golovkin’s most recent bout was against Canelo Álvarez on September 16, 2017, which ended in a draw. The fight was scored as 115-113 in favor of Golovkin, 118-110 in favor of Álvarez and 114-114. The two will face each other in a much anticipated rematch on May 5, 2018 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Golovkin will be defending WBA (Super), WBC, IBF and IBO middleweight titles.
