2015 RBC Canadian Open at Glen Abbey
The RBC Canadian Open has been played most often at the Glen Abbey golf course in Oakville, Ontario. The course at Glen Abbey was designed by Jack Nicklaus and first hosted the RBC Canadian Open in 1977. The Royal Canadian Golf Association envisioned Glen Abbey as the permanent home of the tournament, and between 1977 and 2000, the RBC Canadian Open was held at Glen Abbey every year with the exception of two. Following 2000, the RBC Canadian Open has been moved to a number of different golf courses, most notably the Royal Montreal Golf Club, Hamilton Golf and Country Club, St. George’s Golf and Country Club, and Angus Glen Golf Club. Despite moving around to multiple courses, the RBC Canadian Open is still played at Glen Abbey every few years and the tournament is tied to difficult course designed by Nicklaus 40 years ago.
