Scott Field at Davis Wade Stadium is an outdoor football stadium on the campus of Mississippi State University in Starkville, Mississippi. The second oldest Division I FBS stadium in the nation, Davis Wade Stadium is the home of the Mississippi State Bulldogs football team. Visitors to Scott Field are impressed by the historic stadium's recent expansion, its new skyboxes, and club-level seats, as well as the incredible fan support for the Bulldogs.
Originally named Scott Field after Don Magruder Scott, one of MSU's first football stars, the stadium was renamed after Floyd Davis Wade Sr., who contributed to the cost of the stadium's latest expansion. The playing surface is still known as Scott Field. Opened in 1914, the stadium has seen multiple expansions to bring its capacity to the current level of just 55,000. High attendance and rabid fans have combined to give the Bulldogs a fantastic home record. In the last 13 years, MSU has managed to sell at or above 25,000 home tickets per year, even managing more than 30,000 tickets in the last two years.
Visitors to Scott Field at Davis Wade Stadium will be blown away by the level of fan support and the hot and hostile environment visiting teams have to contend with. The stadium is increasingly becoming known as one of the toughest places in the country to play on the road. Buy Scott Field tickets and don't miss an event at Davis Wade Stadium!
