The Boston Red Sox began in 1901 as the Boston Americans and played until 1912 in the Huntington Avenue Grounds. It was the site of the first World Series between the National League and American League in 1903 and was the site of the first modern perfect game by Cy Young in 1904. The Americans changed their name to the Red Sox in 1908 and opened Fenway Park in 1912. When it opened, the park seated 35,000 people, which has since expanded to close to 40,000 attendees. Located in the heart of downtown Boston, Fenway Park is one of the original urban ballparks and has become a fixture in the Massachusetts capitol.

Fenway Park is surrounded by a bevy of restaurants and bars that are always a hotbed of activity before game days. The venue is within walking distance of Boston's Green Line subway system, and public transportation is often the best way to go. Unless fans would like to try their hand at parking near Fenway, where there are a number of lots and garages in the area surrounding the ballpark.

Over the course of its history, Fenway Park has seen its fair share of improvements to keep it up with the times. In the late 80s, club seats were constructed in the old press box and now form an extensive set of exclusive seating in the mezzanine behind home plate. In 2003, the Red Sox added seating to the top of the Green Monster, a 37-foot-high wall in left field that has cost many hitters home runs over the years. Other than a few touch-ups and other modern improvements, Fenway Park remains largely unchanged 100 years later.

In 2012, Fenway Park celebrated its centennial and joins Wrigley Field as the only ballparks in the Major Leagues that have been continuously running for a century. Over the course of its illustrious history, Fenway Park was the site of the Red Sox's early titles in 1916 and 1918, but it would be 86 years until the team would win the title in 2004, and again since then. Today Fenway is the host of Red Sox games, many top outdoor concerts, including Pearl Jam, and even a handful of college football games. With amazing fans and a unique atmosphere, seeing a game at Fenway Park should be on any baseball fan's bucket list and is guaranteed to be a memorable experience.

The Philadelphia Phillies are one of the original Major League Baseball franchises that trace their roots back to 1883 when they were dubbed the Philadelphia Quakers. The first major ballpark built for the team was the Baker Bowl, opened in Northern Philadelphia in 1887, and seated nearly 18,000 fans. The Phillies next venue came in 1909 when the team moved into Connie Mack Stadium, also known as Shibe Park. The team's odyssey would continue in 1971 when the squad moved into Veterans Stadium, which they shared with the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles. Finally, in 2004, the Phillies had a venue to call their own dubbed Citizens Bank Park, which has been the site of the team's resurgence over the late 2000s.

Citizens Bank Park is one of many cutting-edge ballparks built on the East Coast with a distinctive bowl-shape meant to pay homage to the Baker Bowl and Connie Mack Stadium. The spacious open-air concourses span the perimeter of the venue and give fans a view of the action from anywhere in the park. There are more than 20,000 parking spaces for those who'd like to drive to the stadium, but it is also linked up to Philadelphia's Broad Street subway line and many other forms of public transportation.

The Phillies took great pains to make Citizens Bank Park a family-friendly atmosphere, and there are games and activities for all ages. For children, eight years and younger is the Phanatic Phun Zone, a sprawling soft play area with slides, ball pits and places to climb. Outside of the park is Ashburn Alley, an extensive complex that features a retail store, sit-down restaurants, the Phillies Wall of Fame, and interactive baseball games for young children. This is also the place to be before the first pitch is thrown - there is a special platform above the bullpen area to allow fans to see pitchers from both teams warm-up before the day's action begins.Ever since the park opened, the Phillies have begun one of the greatest turnarounds in MLB history, which was given an exclamation point in 2008 with their first World Series title since 1980.

Fans attending a game at Citizens Bank Park can purchase parking.
