The St. Louis Cardinals are one of the oldest franchises in Major League Baseball history, dating back to 1892 when they were named the St. Louis Brown Stockings. The team currently plays in Busch Stadium, which is actually the third ballpark that has carried that moniker over the club's history. In 1920, the team moved into Sportsman's Park, a venue they would share with the St. Louis Browns (who would later become today's Baltimore Orioles). In 1953, the stadium's name changed to Busch Stadium after owner Arthur Busch purchased the team. The team played there until 1966 when the second Busch Stadium was built in downtown St. Louis.

In 2006, the Cardinals used elements of the existing Busch Stadium to open a wholly modern structure that would increase seating capacity and offer an array of amenities to fans. This third version of Busch Stadium is the one that stands today, and locals and out-of-towners alike rave about its spacious concourses and myriad attractions. One of the most striking improvements of the new park was reducing the size of the center-field bleacher section - this helped to expand the sightlines of the ballpark and give fans an extensive view of the Gateway Arch and the rest of the St. Louis skyline. Families have the option of enjoying the Family Pavilion, an interactive gaming area with plenty of activities for children and adults alike. Busch Stadium also boasts a unique feature called Homer's Landing, an outdoor picnic area placed above the bullpen in right-center field that allows attendees to unwind during a hot summer day. Surrounding the stadium is an ever-growing district called Ballpark Village, which is filled with sports-themed bars, restaurants, and shops and is always a busy area during game days. Additionally, the Cardinals chose to place their team museum outside of the park, which allows fans to check out relics from the past year-round.

On the heels of their 11th World Series title in 2011, the St. Louis Cardinals always seem to be in the thick of the postseason race and have given their fans plenty of unforgettable memories. With a roster that's filled from top to bottom with high-end pitching talent and quality hitters, the Cardinals are looking to hoist their 12th World Series banner in the coming years.
