The run-up to the 2015 American League Playoffs has been one of the most exciting in years. The Texas Rangers clinched the American League West title on the last day of the season, and the Houston Astros clinched their first playoff appearance in more than a decade in the season’s final game. The Toronto Blue Jays surprised the world, improving on a 50-50 record to win the AL East for the first time since 1993. Throw in the Kansas City Royals, who are looking to defend their World Series title, and the 2016 AL playoffs look to be as exciting as ever. The run to the ALCS should include some of the season’s best games, and biggest stars.

The National League playoff hunt is as stacked as it has ever been. The NL Central had the three top records in MLB in 2015, with the Cardinals, Pirates, and Cubs all reaching the post season. The Dodgers will look to ride the pitching of Kershaw to overcome their recent October woes, while the New York Mets will hope the hot bat of Yoenis Cespedes continues to carry them through tough games. The road to the 2016 NLCS will be as difficult as it has been in a decade, and will include arguably 4 of the top 6 pitchers in the post season.
