San Francisco Giants 2020 Opening Day

Just a few days after opening the season up in Arizona, the San Francisco Giants will host the Diamondbacks in their season home opener at AT&T Park. After the 2013 season the Giants were quick to strengthen their roster in preparation for 2014. SF looked to secure Hunter Pence for five-more years keeping one of the strongest bats in the league on the Giants roster. Along with Pence the Giants were able to hold onto their dominant starter Tim Lincecum, who dispite having pedestrian numbers in 2013 still shows flashes of great talent. Left-handed relief specialist, Javier Lopez, and Ryan Vogelsong were also among the returning sign-es.

New to the Giants roster in 2014 will be former Atlanta Braves starter, Tim Hudson, who signed a two-year deal to help strengthen San Francisco's bull-pen. Though Hudson missed some of the 2013 season due to an ankle injury, the 21 games he did start left him with some impressive numbers including 95 strike-outs. Perhaps in the teams biggest move to fill the National Leagues worst productive left field position, the Giants signed free-agent Michael Morse to a one-year deal. Plagued by an injured wrist in 2013 Morse will be looking to give his second chance in the MLB all he's got.
