Atlanta United FC Soccer at Mercedes-Benz Stadium

The Atlanta United FC will play their first few games as an MLS team in the Bobby Dodd Stadium but will then transfer to their permanent home of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Mercedes-Benz is a new and extravagant stadium that is built just south of the previous Georgia Dome which has been demolished to make room for parking. The stadium will also be home to the Atlanta Falcons. The cost of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium is an estimated $1.5 billion dollar and provides its modern design and retractable roof which converts the venue into an outdoor stadium. The maximum capacity in the Mercedes-Benz Stadium is 83,000, but during soccer events it holds a smaller 40,000 people.
