The atmosphere for big Phoenix Suns home game rivals that of any team in the NBA. The Suns play their home games at the Footprint Center (formerly known as Talking Stick Resort Arena and America West Arena) in Phoenix, Arizona. When filled to capacity, The Footprint Center can hold more than 18,000 Suns fans. The arena is known by the nickname The Purple Place, was built in 1990, but has received extensive upgrades over the years. The action in the arena is not just on the court, as fans should keep an eye on Go the Gorilla, the Suns’ popular and enthusiastic mascot. He makes sure the fans keep the Footprint Center rocking during every Suns home game, particularly during the playoffs.
There are two primary levels at the Footprint Center for a Suns game; the upper-level, which includes Sections 201-231, and the lower-level, which includes Sections 101-124. The best seats for a Suns game are likely the Floor seats surrounding the court, which includes Floor 101, 105, 108, 111, 114, 115, 117 and 120. The Floor seats run from Row A (front row) to either Row C (side court sections) or Row D (behind basket sections). Other good seats are the sideline seats on 100-level which include Sections 101-103 and 113-115 and range from Row 1 to Row 28. The cheapest tickets for a Suns home game are likely going to be in the upper-level corners, behind the basket. For cheap Suns tickets check in Sections 207-208, 214-215, 223-224, 230-231 or the sections directly behind the basket. The higher rows in the 200-level will generally be cheaper and the rows upstairs run from Row 1-14. The Phoenix Suns home bench is on the Footprint Center court side in front of Section 101 and the visitor bench is in-front of Section 103.
