The Pete Maravich Assembly Center is an indoor multi-purpose arena on the Louisiana State University campus in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.  The arena holds a capacity crowd of 13,472 and is used primarily as the home court for the LSU Tigers and Lady Tigers basketball teams.  Originally called the LSU Assembly Center, the arena was renamed when legendary LSU guard Pete Maravich died in 1988.  The arena is also often referred to as the PMAC, “the house that Pete built”, and “the Deaf Dome”.  Dick Vitale coined the latter nickname because of the crowd noise common at LSU basketball games.

The Pete Maravich Assembly Center was opened in 1972 and is situated near Tiger Stadium - it can often be seen in the background of video shots during LSU football games.  In addition to LSU basketball, the PMAC has also hosted Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) games, NCAA basketball tournament games, and even a New Orleans Hornets NBA game after Hurricane Katrina displaced the team.  The Pete Maravich Assembly Center is also the facility for the LSU gymnastics and volleyball programs.

Visitors to the PMAC will be stunned by the sheer volume of the crowd and the intensity of the action.  The arena concourse and Pete Maravich Pass display LSU’s rich tradition and storied basketball history.  Buy Pete Maravich Assembly Center tickets today and never miss an event at the Deaf Dome!
