Travel agents and ticket brokers say they being flooded with calls from fans wanting to go to the Rose Bowl for the BCS Championship Game.
Most flights into Los Angeles, Burbank and other nearby airports are sold out -- and hotels are booked solid. There are only so many tickets to the game to go around, and they are going fast. Many are willing to pay whatever it takes to watch their team win -- or lose -- on game day.
"Right now tickets are going for $950 all the way up to $2,500 for the best seats in the house," says Randy Cohen of Ticket City. "The demand for tickets is pretty overwhelming."
While thousand of UT students are anxious to attend, quite a few of them will be out of luck. Each school gets an allotment of just 19,000 tickets -- only 1,900 of them will be handed out to students and Longhorn Foundation members.
