TicketCity Partners with Southern Tailgater Magazine and Connects With Fans
New collaboration provides fans enhanced experience at tailgates and other events.
AUSTIN, TX (August 5, 2009) TicketCity announces a partnership with Southern Tailgater Magazine that provides sports fans and tailgating enthusiasts the ultimate tailgating experience. As the official ticket sponsor of Southern Tailgater Magazine, TicketCity offers readers and fans opportunities to purchase tickets for a variety of events throughout the country.
In addition to traditional print, online and promotional marketing elements, TicketCity will join Southern Tailgater Magazine at more than 20 events throughout the fall, including SEC and Big 12 college football
matchups, and NASCAR
racing events. From food and fun to demonstrations and displays for tailgating products, the tailgating events will also include contests, prizes and giveaways.
“Partnering with Southern Tailgater Magazine gives TicketCity the opportunity to connect with passionate fans and our valued clients at events. That’s a unique opportunity in the ticketing space, where so many clients are purchasing online or over the phone,” explains Amy Carpenter, Vice President of Marketing at TicketCity. “Providing fans unforgettable experiences at live events is what we do – and the social interaction during tailgates is a huge part of what makes these events unforgettable.”
“We are very proud to announce our partnership with TicketCity,” said Chris Reaves, President and Publisher of Southern Tailgater. “In addition to the obvious synergies between our organizations, we value the growth and entrepreneurial drive of our new partner, as well as their unequivocal devotion to serving their market, hallmarks we strive for also at Southern Tailgater.”
Research reveals interesting facts about tailgating. A survey conducted among Southern Tailgater Magazine readers reports a typical tailgater attends or hosts 6 – 10 tailgate parties each season, usually tailgates between 3 – 4 hours before the event, hosts at least 10 guests and prepares food onsite at the event. The American Tailgating Association estimates that more than 40 million people participate in the tailgating tradition each year.
“Football, tailgates, food and fun. What better way to connect with our fellow sports fanatics?” says Carpenter. “We’re excited about joining forces with Southern Tailgater in the fall during our own tailgates. It’s an opportunity to get out and connect with fans that are just as passionate as we are about sports and the teams they love.”
TicketCity’s exclusive partnership with Southern Tailgater Magazine officially kicks off this fall and is in place for one year, with the option for renewal. More information is available from TicketCity
