The Top 25 Hottest Tickets Bowl Game Tickets
The BCS National Championship is the hottest bowl game and with other BCS games topping the list, the cost of tickets will depend on the final match-ups.
AUSTIN, TX--(Marketwire - December 2, 2007) - It is no surprise that the hottest bowl game ticket is the BCS National Championship game, with an average price of $1348.00 per ticket. Traditionally, the National Championship and other BCS bowl game tickets are highest demand. Despite the upsets and uncertainties of the 2007 season, the BCS bowls remain at the top of the list and certain schools will have a dramatic affect on the demand for their bowl game.
"LSU and Ohio State will both have a big impact on the bowl they are selected to play in," says Rafael Rivas, Vice President of Sales at TicketCity. "With a strong fan base, Buckeye fans are willing to travel long distances to support their team. Prices on the game Ohio State is selected to play in will only increase."
Regarding LSU's affect on bowl games, Rivas stated, "Winning the SEC Championship Game now makes the BCS Championship Game an even bigger ticket. With the National Championship in New Orleans, it's essentially a home game for LSU. LSU has had a strong season this year and the Tigers dedicated fan base drove demand for games even higher this year. The BCS Championship will continue to be the top ticket this year."
Other non-BCS bowl games that may see a surge in demand after this weekend are the Capital One and Alamo Bowl both expected to feature in-state teams. "Florida is expected to get picked for the Capital One Bowl and prices should stay high if that happens," says Randy Cohen, CEO of TicketCity. "Also, with College Station not too far from San Antonio, Texas A&M will bring a lot of fans to the Alamo Bowl."
Though many college football fans know where their team is playing, final bowl announcements will affect the cost of tickets. TicketCity will release an updated version of the Top 25 Hottest Bowl Game Tickets on Monday, December 3. Prices are based on average ticket prices from tickets on the secondary market.
