Buffalo Bills Tickets Information

The Bills began playing professional football back in 1960 as a member of the AFL. Though the franchise has fallen on tough times lately, Buffalo has had success in the past. The AFL treated the Bills well in their 10 years in the league, as Buffalo won two AFL championships in 1964 and 1965. The NFL proved to be a tougher test for the Bills. Buffalo made the playoffs just once in the 1970s and twice in the early 1980s. The Bills only became a feared franchise in the late 1980s, when Buffalo began an impressive stretch of playoff appearances. With Jim Kelly under center for the majority of the run, the Bills made the playoffs 10 times in 12 years from 1988 to 1999. Kelly’s Bills made four consecutive Super Bowl appearances in 1990, ’91, ’92 and ’93, but each time the Bills were denied the Lombardi Trophy. Since 1999, the Bills have not made a return to the postseason. Buffalo has retired only one number in franchise history—Kelly’s No. 12—though other numbers are also kept out of circulation. 2016 Bills Season Preview

The Buffalo Bills enter the 2015 season trying to take the next step towards the franchise’s first playoff berth since 1999. The 2014 season saw the Bills win 9 games, falling just one game short of a playoff bid. The Bills put an emphasis on defense in the offseason, bringing in defensive guru Rex Ryan as the team’s head coach, as well as drafting ultra-talented corner back Ronald Darby with their first pick in the 2015 NFL draft. One of the biggest questions for the 2015 Buffalo Bills will be who takes over as the team’s quarterback. The job will either go to Matt Cassel or E. J. Manuel. Whichever quarterback wins the job, they will have the task of feeding Sammy Watkins the ball, one of the game’s best receivers. If the Bills can find decent play from one of their quarterbacks, they could be in contention for a wild card berth in 2015.
