Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Raymond James Stadium (Tampa, FL) Saints 24, Buccaneers 17Tampa Bay entered their 2nd meeting with the Saints in 2015 looking to make it two wins in a row vs New Orleans, and to move above .500 on the season. But Drew Brees and the Saints had other plans. Brees threw for over 300 yards, including 2 touchdown passes and 0 interceptions. But the story of the game might be the Saints defense. New Orleans held the Buccaneers to just over 300 yards of total offense, and 10 points through 3 quarters. 6 of the last 6 Saints vs Buccaneers matchups have been decided by a single score, making this one of the best rivalries to watch in the NFL, and with all of Tampa Bay's young stars, that trend should only continue over the next few years.

Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Mercedes-Benz Superdome (New Orleans, LA) Buccaneers 26, Saints 19The New Orleans Saints have dominated their matchups with the Buccaneers over the last 3 seasons, winning 5 straight from 2012 to 2014. But Tampa Bay entered the Superdome for the first Bucaneers-Saints meeting of 2015 with something to prove. New Tampa Bay quarterback Jameis Winston averaged 9.9 yards a passing attempt, throwing for a touchdown, and running for 1 more. The Buccaneers defense stifled Drew Brees and the normally prolific Saints offense, holding them to just 7 points through 3 quarters, helping Tampa Bay pull out a 7 point victory.

Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Raymond James Stadium (Tampa, FL) Saints 23, Buccaneers 20 It was another Saints - Bucc's shootout in Tampa Bay as the Saints find a last minute sack for a safety to go up on the Buccaneers by two. While it was a poor outing for Drew Brees, who threw 3 interceptions, the Saints still managed to come back from a 20-7 deficit and finish over Tampa Bay 23-20. The comeback was large in-part due to the big fourth quarter turnaround of 16 unanswered points that was capped off with the game winnning safety.

Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Mercedes-Benz Superdome (New Orleans, LA) Saints 37, Buccaneers 31 As this rivalry usually is, the Superdome witnessed another back and forth shootout between the Saints and Buccs. Tampa Bay put up a fight to start the fourth quarter ahead of the Saints 31-20 but would have a short-lived lead after a Mike Glennon sack for a saftey combined with a Pierre Thomas 27 yard touchdown run. Brees was able to lead a 12 play 80-yard drive in OT for a Khiry Robinson touchdown to end the game at 37-31.

Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Raymond James Stadium (Tampa, FL) Saints 16, Buccaneers 14 Drew Brees was far from perfect on Sunday, but even two Tampa INTs couldn’t stop the Saints as they improved to 2-0 on the season while leaving the Bucs winless. The biggest play of the game was a Mason Foster interception of Brees, which he returned 85 yards to the house to give the Bucs a 14-13 lead in the 4th quarter. Rian Lindell missed a 47-yard field goal that could have given Tampa a four-point lead with only 1:10 left, and the Saints immediately took advantage with a field goal of their own as time expired to win the game.

Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Mercedes-Benz Superdome (New Orleans, LA) Saints 41, Buccaneers 0 Not much to say about this one that the scoreline doesn’t already tell you. Josh Freeman threw 4 interceptions while Drew Brees had 4 TDs and no interceptions, leading the Saints to the 41-point win and leveling both teams to a 6-8 record. Mark Ingram pitched in with 90 rushing yards and a TD, while the Bucs leading rusher had only 25 yards. The Bucs had seven turnovers, including two on downs in the Saints territory.

Sunday, October 21, 2012 at Raymond James Stadium (Tampa, FL) Saints 35, Buccaneers 28 The Saints fell behind 21-7 early after Josh Freeman hit Vincent Jackson with a 17-yard TD pass in the second quarter, but 28 unanswered points on touchdowns from Darren Sproles, Joe Morgan, David Thomas and Pierre Thomas put the Saints back in front by 14 in the fourth. Dallas Clark brought it to within seven when he caught a 3-yd TD pass with 4:16 left. The Bucs drove it down the field and had four chances from within the 10 to tie it up, but Freeman couldn’t find a receiver for the score.
