The Giants are one of football's oldest teams, founded in 1925. Named after the local baseball team, the New York Football Giants set a standard for winning when they posted winning seasons in each of the organization's three seasons, winning the NFL Championship in 1927. The Giants stayed an elite team into the 1960s, winning three more titles in 1934,1938 and 1956. New York struggled through the late 1960s and the 1970s, but things got better for the Giants after drafting quarterback Phil Simms and linebacker Lawrence Taylor, and naming Bill Parcells the head coach. The Giants once again became consistent threats, and achieved arguably its best season in franchise history while winning the Super Bowl in 1986. Sustaining success, New York won the Super Bowl again in 1990, despite an injury to Simms. When Eli Manning made his debut under center for the Giants another era of success was ushered in. Manning has led the Giants to two more Super Bowl victories in his nine-year career. New York's Ring of Honor has 35 members, including figures from both on and off the field. 2015 Giants Season Preview

The New York Giants had two separate seasons in 2013. The first was a disaster that even sparked rumors about the firing of head coach Tom Coughlin. The second put the Giants close to the top of the pack in the NFC East. The Giants will be looking to build on the second half of the season and have brought in some new talent at the skill positions to help them get there. Rashad Jennings will be the starting running back as the season gets underway, and the G-men also picked up Andre Williams in the draft. David Wilson had to retire due to injury and Andre Brown has moved on, so both backs will need to put up some production for Eli Manning’s passing offense has a chance to succeed. Mario Manningham was brought in at WR, and the Giants used their first-round pick on Odell Beckham to be the next Victor Cruz in New York. The Giants are starting the season in Detroit before coming home for two games against the Cardinals and Texans. Other big home games include contests with the Falcons, Colts, 49ers, Cowboys and Eagles in Week 17. The biggest away games will be at Dallas and the reigning Super Bowl champions Seattle.

Where is the best place to park at MetLife Stadium?

A large portion of the parking at MetLife Stadium is restricted to parking pass holders. The lots immediately next to the stadium are reserved for parking permit holders. Guests who do not have a parking permit will be directed to park at off-site parking lots. We recommend either purchasing a parking permit, or using public transportation to get to the game. The New Jersey Transit Rail Service, and the Metro-North Railroad Service both have stations near the stadium and are perfect for going to and from the stadium. If you do try to park at the stadium without a parking permit, try looking to the southwest of the stadium. There are a few large lots in this area that often have available parking.
