2014 Western Conference Finals Results: The 2014 NHL Western Conference Finals are set and it's the defending Stanley Cup champs up against the Los Angeles Kings. The Blackhawks have had some what of a lack luster season in comparison to their 2013 run, but nonetheless Chicago has found their way back into yet another run at the Stanley Cup. Led by Kane, the Blackhawks turned up the intensity during the playoffs closing out both round 1 & 2 series in 6 games. Next on the docket for Chicago is the Los Angeles Kings who managed multiple comebacks in the first two rounds to oust their in-state rivals the San Jose Sharks and Anaheim Ducks. Like the Blackhawks, the Kings have been a relavent name in the NHL Playoffs over the past 5 years and will be looking to get their hands back on the Stanley Cup as they did in the 2011-2012 season. The Blackhawks will secure the home ice advantage against the Kings kicking off the series at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois.
