NCAA Softball Regional Tickets & 2022 Locations
The NCAA Women's Softball Tournament was first played way back in 1982. The first round of that tourney are the Regionals, which are played at 16 different locations across the country. The locations for the college softball regionals are typically the home fields of the top college softball team's from the 2022 season. Each softball regional contains four teams, which play a double-elimination tournament to decide the team that advances to the NCAA Softball Super Regional. That winning regional team keeps their hopes alive of earning a spot in the Women's College World Series, where hopefully they can take home the 2022 National Championship.
The teams that commonly host Softball Regionals are the winning teams from the Big 12 Softball Tournament, Pac 12 Softball Tourney and the SEC Softball Tournament. The power programs in Women's College Softball often are the hosts for the Regional games in the Softball Postseason Tournament. Those programs include: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, OU, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA and Washington. Fans who love Women's college softball will pack the stands for this first step of the postseason tourney.
