Christmas Spectacular features performances by the world famous Rockettes, who dazzle audiences with an array of synchronized dance moves, high kicks and well choreographed moves that are sure to wow everyone in attendance. The Rockettes have been performing the Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall since 1933.

Christmas Spectacular Schedule

The Christmas Spectacular shows at Radio City start in early November and continue through the holiday season until they finally wrap up for the year in early January. There are typically 4-5 shows per day, and the shows are played 7 days a week, so there is ample opportunity for fans visiting NYC to see this show. Since that time the Xmas Spectacular has greatly increased in stature, and now also includes touring performances that take place all around the country. Each Winter the touring versions of Christmas Spectacular fan out to hit a dozen cities across the United States.

Radio City Music Hall

Christmas Spectacular is performed annually at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City. When filled to capacity, the world famous venue holds just over 6,000 fans.

There are four seating levels at Radio City Music Hall: Orchestra (including Orchestra Pit in-front), First Mezzanine, Second Mezzanine and Third Mezzanine. The most popular seats are in Orchestra 3, Orchestra 4, and Orchestra 5 which are the sections in-front of the stage. There are approximately 47 rows in each of those sections, that run from row AA through row W.

• Orchestra Pit – There are 3 Orch Pit sections in-front of the stage.

• The two side Pit sections have 3 rows (BBB, CCC, DDD)

• The Center Pit section has 4 rows (AAA, BBB, CCC, DDD)

• Orchestra – Radio City has 7 sections in the orchestra listed as “Orch 1” through “Orch 7”. Row AA is the first row in the Orchestra section. Row W or U is the last row in the Orchestra section. (Note: there is no Row ii or Row i in Orchestra)

• Seat numbers in Radio City Music run from right to left (as you face the stage), with the lowest seat numbers in section starting on the right side (facing the stage) of that section. Seat 101 is the first seat against the wall on right side of theater (facing stage) in Orchestra 1. Seat 201 is the first seat on right in Orchestra 2 and so on.

Each holiday season, Radio City Music Hall hosts the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular, which is one of the longest running productions in history.
