US Open Tennis Event Guide

What are the best sessions to attend at the US Open tennis tournament?

The early sessions are packed with action, particularly the evening sessions. The later sessions feature matchups of the best players in the tournament. The Semifinal sessions are 21 (Women’s) and 22 (Men’s). Session 23 includes the Women’s Final and Men’s Doubles Final. Session 24 is the Men’s Final. Day sessions start at 11AM, so they can often squeeze in more tennis action, while the evening sessions are often earmarked for the marquee matches.

How do “Grounds Admission” tickets differ from regular US Open tickets?

Grounds Admission tickets are general admission tickets available for each of the first eight (8) Day sessions at the US Open. Grounds Admission passes provide ticket holders access to watch the matches on the courts surrounding the main stadiums, and to sit in a special general admission section at Louis Armstrong Stadium if space is available. Grounds Admission passes DO NOT provide entry to Arthur Ashe Stadium, where the top matches are played. Regular US Open tickets are required to have a reserved seat in Arthur Ashe Stadium or Louis Armstrong Stadium.

The official determination of rain-out or cancelled session is made by the USTA.

What are the best places to sit at the US Open tennis tournament?

Generally, the best place to sit at Arthur Ashe Stadium is going to be behind either baseline. Sections 1-9, 60-67, and 26-45 put fans right next to the action, with the best angles for following volleys. For day sessions, sitting on the West Side of the stadium will help you avoid the sun. Sections 329-333, and 126-130 often have great shade during day matches.

What is the best food available at the US Open?

The US Open food village has just about every type of food imaginable from deli classics and burgers, to ice cream, seafood, kosher dishes, pizza, barbeque and alcoholic beverages. For seated dining there is the Patio Café & Bar, Mojito’s latin inspired restaurant, two Heineken restaurants and the Moet Terrace for champagne.
