Wrestlemania is the biggest event on the WWE calendar each year. It takes place each Spring at one of the largest stadiums across North America. The experience at Wrestlemania exceeds any other individual WWE event if for no other reason than the sheer star power that shows up for it. At Wrestlemania you are going to see all of the top stars in the WWE, as well as, celebrity guests and more. The whole event and all of the activities surrounding it make Wrestlemania a must-see for any true WWE fan.
The inaugural event was held in 1985, with Vince McMahon set on creating a Super Bowl-like event for the WWF. The first WrestleMania was at Madison Square Garden and included participants like Hulk Hogan, Mr. T and Rowdy Roddy Piper. Muhammad Ali was a “special guest enforcer,” and that kicked off a pattern of having celebrities in the event as well as wrestlers. Other stars including Donald Trump, Pete Rose, Mike Tyson, Floyd Mayweather, Ronda Rousey and Lawrence Taylor have also been involved.
The event has a long list of fights from the biggest names in the sport including The Rock, John Cena, The Undertaker, Steve Austin, Ric Flair, Brock Lesner, Triple H, Daniel Bryan, Randy Orton, CM Punk and The Miz, but McMahon usually leaves the biggest fight of the year for the last one on the card at WrestleMania. The entire card at Wrestlemania is stacked with great matches including a Battle Royal, Tag Team Championships, No Holds Barred match, and plenty of marquee singles matches.
